The 2014 GEORGE ENENMOH’S PRIZE for Vision, Passion and Excellence goes to Mrs. Bolajoko Dalemo, a Supervisor at the General Accounts Section of the Finance Department of ASCON OIL COMPANY. Announcing the winner at the 2014 End of The Year Party of the company, the Group Managing Director (GMD) of ASCON OIL COMPANY, Barrister (Mrs. Grace Olowofoyeku), represented by the Group General Manager Corporate Services/Legal Adviser, Barrister Ikem Ohia, brought to the fore again the essence of the award which is given annually in memory of the late founding MD, Engineer George Enenmoh.
According to the GMD, the award is symbolic of the culture of Vision, Passion and Excellence which defined the life and time of the founding MD. The announcement was one of the highpoints of the party, held at HIS GRACE EVENT CENTRE, LEKKI, LAGOS, as it attracted a cash prize of one million naira.
Born over four decades ago, the winner, Bolajoko Dalemo, is an Accountancy and Banking graduate of the Lagos State Polytechnic. With an MBA in Finance, she has been an associate member (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) since 2001, and also an associate member (ACTI) of the Institute of Chartered Taxation of Nigeria since 2012.
She joined ASCON OIL COMPANY limited in February 2003 after fifteen years work experience as an Auditor and Accountant in a different sector of the economy. She has served in different capacities within ASCON OIL COMPANY and has risen through the ranks to become a Supervisor at the General Accounts Section of the Finance Department.
